Sustainability

Sustainability is not a catch-all term within Stafa. At Stafa, this topic has focus and attention. We are aware of our role and responsibility in society and for a healthier and better future for us all.

We are consciously working towards this, day in and day out. Stafa is socially committed and transparent to employees and the market. In the field of sustainability and reducing our impact on people, the environment and the planet, we have undertaken all kinds of activities and investments in recent years to make a positive contribution. We are also actively working on sustainability with all our colleagues.

Within Stafa, a team is working on Sustainable Development Goals or Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for Stafa and we are committed to achieving improvement of these Sustainable Development Goals in our organisation and throughout the supply chain.

In the coming years, Stafa aims to play a distinctive and progressive role within our industry. We will further reduce our CO2 footprint and make efforts to make our supply chain more sustainable. Both in its own operations, products and services, but also as a partner in the chain, Stafa is continuously seeking the right balance. Stafa is convinced that an integrated vision of corporate social responsibility actually creates opportunities and offers possibilities for all our stakeholders.

Sustainability mission

Stafa strives to minimise its environmental impact so that we continue to make a positive contribution to a sustainable future through process improvements, organisational development and continuous environmental, community and social engagement.

Stafa's ambition, through cooperation with our stakeholders in the field of sustainability, is to meet the objectives of the climate agreement before 2050. Together, we must continue to work for a more sustainable world with a good balance between both economic growth and ecological progress with a view to prosperity, well-being and inclusiveness for all, where we handle what the earth offers us consciously and responsibly.

At Stafa, too, we are constantly improving our processes and making them more efficient. Optimising energy consumption is a good example. We have therefore decided to install some 600 solar panels on the roof of our warehouse. The installation will have a capacity of 265000 WP so that by taking this step we will soon be completely self-sufficient in terms of electricity.

Sustainable packaging

Stafa recently invested in a kitting machine which makes it possible to produce kits with paper packaging in addition to LPDE plastic. The big advantage of paper packaging is the fact that it is fully recyclable and can be disposed of via the usual paper waste stream.

By using this type of packaging, you ensure that your carbon footprint improves and contribute to a better environment. Although LDPE is easy to recycle, paper is even less harmful to the environment.

The kitting service offered by Stafa offers complete care-free service for its customers. Besides packaging fasteners and any other products, this service takes other work off your hands. This is because at Stafa you only buy one article. So you no longer have to deal with the procurement, handling, transport, etc. of all the elements in the kit yourself. Even if it is not an article that Stafa supplies itself, our purchasing team can take care of the purchase from the supplier of your choice.
